After our SOLD OUT foodie trips in 2025 and 2026 to the beautiful island of Sicily we decided we are definitely doing it all again! It is that good!

BOOK TODAY TO HOLD YOUR PLACE AND AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

Eight days along Sicily’s sun-drenched southeast coast, where Baroque towns spill down hillsides, chocolate is still made the Aztec way, and every meal is an excuse to linger a little longer. Expect hands-on cooking classes with local nonne, seaside seafood feasts, Michelin-starred lunches, and the kind of granita-and-brioche breakfast that ruins you for cereal forever. This is Sicily eaten slowly — one plate, one piazza, one sunset at a time. Total price is $5950 with single supplement of $800.

Get your place booked today as these tickets will sell out VERY quickly. A medium level of fitness is required for this trip as there is a lot of walking and a fair amount of (optional) stairs. Please consider this before you book.

THIS AMOUNT OF $350 AUD REPRESENTS A DEPOSIT ONLY. PLEASE READ FULL PRICE ABOVE!

Day One — Arrival & A Taste of the Sea

Guests are collected from Romano Palace Hotel at 11:00am for the transfer to our base for the week, the beautiful Acacia Palace Hotel in Marina di Ragusa. (Prefer to arrive the day before? Travel by private car at your own expense and book an extra night with us — just email for pricing and to confirm.)

Marina di Ragusa has been lived in a lot longer than the hotel suggests — people have settled this stretch of coast since the 5th century BC.

Settle in with a welcome massage before check-in, then enjoy lunch at leisure at the hotel, own expense.

As the sun drops, we stroll down to Lido Azzurro 1953 da Serafino, a beach club institution, for our first dinner: a seafood degustation with your toes practically in the sand.

Day Two — Vittoria & the Donnafugata Estate

After breakfast, we bus over to Vittoria and split into two groups for a swap of experiences: a hands-on scacce and “turkish head” pastry session with a cannoli demonstration, and a walking tour of Vittoria itself. Everyone gets both.

From there, we transfer to the storybook Donnafugata Castello for free time to explore the grounds and interior, followed by an a la carte lunch beneath the mulberry tree — one of the prettiest lunch spots you’ll ever eat in.

We return to Marina di Ragusa in the afternoon, with dinner at one of the town’s excellent local restaurants.

Day Three — Chocolate, Then Pasta by Hand

Today is a leisurely morning before we head to Modica for a visit to Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, Sicily’s oldest chocolate factory and home of the Aztec-method chocolate Modica is famous the world over for — grainy, cold-worked, and unlike any chocolate you’ve tried.

From there, straight on to La Timpa, for a hands-on pasta-making class. Then enjoy the pasta we make for dinner.

Day Four — Granita Morning, Then Choose Your Sicily

Start with a short morning walk to Caffè delle Rose or Don Peppinu for the essential Sicilian ritual: granita and brioche, best eaten together, no exceptions.

From here, the day is yours to choose:

Free day to swim, wander, or do absolutely nothing at all, or join our optional Agrigento excursion, with a Michelin-starred lunch a fairly early departure to leave room for a leisurely lunch and some shopping. This has an additional cost payable in cash in Sicily. But I need you to confirm your place so arrangements can be made in advance.

Dinner tonight is local, and walkable — we head to Ara for a proper introduction to true Sicilian arancini.

Day Five — Ortigia by Day, Noto by Sunset

A later start today, as we make our way to Castello Solacium for a long, leisurely lunch. Set in the hills near Siracusa, this rustic-chic castle is Sicily exactly as you picture it — genuine history in every stone, and a setting that’s hard to hurry out of.

From there, on to Ortigia, a small island brimming with ancient Greek, Roman, and medieval heritage, and is often described as an open-air museum. Originally settled by the Greeks over 2,700 years ago, Ortigia was once the heart of one of the most powerful cities of the ancient world. The island is yours — wander at your own pace or join our walking tour. Between the fantastic food market, the Duomo, and the shopping along the backstreets, there’s no shortage of ways to fill an afternoon here.

Later, we make our way to Baroque Noto for a wander through its honey-gold streets and a sunset aperitivo, before heading back to the hotel to sleep it all off.

Day Six — Ragusa Ibla, Twice Over

An early transfer to Ragusa Ibla for a walking tour with our guide Ivana, timed to leave plenty of time afterward for coffee and browsing the shops tucked into the old town.

Our final Michelin lunch of the trip follows, right here in Ragusa Ibla, at Ristorante Duomo — two Michelin stars, chef Ciccio Sultano. Tucked inside Palazzo La Rocca on Via Capitano Bocchieri, this is contemporary Sicilian cooking at its sharpest: dishes built on the island’s long layering of Phoenician, Greek, Arab and Norman influences, and Sultano’s own signature citrus-driven touch. A fitting last big table of the trip.

We return to Marina di Ragusa in the afternoon before heading out again for dinner at Tenuta Bastonaca.

Day Seven — Herbs, Then Fire

This morning, a cooking class and lunch at Gli Aromi, a garden of over 200 aromatic and medicinal plants in the Iblean countryside near Scicli, founded in 1998 by Enrico and Rita, who built the whole place around a simple idea: cultivation feeds culture, and culture feeds the kitchen. Enrico tends the plants, Rita turns them into lunch — we’ll wander the fragrant rows with all five senses before sitting down to eat what we’ve just been smelling, with the Mediterranean laid out on the horizon.

In the evening, we transfer to the fishing village of Scoglitti for a pizza-making class with Vivere, whose dough gets a slow 72-hour rise for a famously light, cloud-like crust (they call it “la Nuvola”), topped with ingredients from local growers and producers — and our final dinner together, pulled straight from the oven.

Day Eight — Farewell

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer back to Catania, with drop-offs at the airport and at Romano Palace for those staying on.
